Guiyang International Land Port has handled 270 trains across the New International Land-Sea Trade Corridor, China-Europe/Central Asia Express, China-Laos Railway, and Guizhou-Guangdong Railway in the first half of this year, marking a 31.73 percent year-on-year increase, with container throughput in June exceeding 8,000 TEUs and single-day volume hitting 1,649 TEUs, both setting all-time highs.
High-quality development support policies for the land port have also taken effect since the beginning of the year, with Guizhou Railway Investment Group accelerating the construction of a "one port, multiple zones" collection, distribution, and transportation system, boosting internal and external connectivity as well as open cooperation.
Since its opening, Guiyang International Land Port has handled 636 trains and 39,902 TEUs. Outbound shipments currently feature tea, guitars, general merchandise, Guizhou tires, auto parts, televisions, single superphosphate, ammonium polyphosphate, and radiators.
After establishing partnerships with coastal hubs like Guangzhou, Shenzhen, and the Beibu Gulf ports, overall customs clearance times have been slashed by 50 percent, container unpacking and auxiliary labor costs have been reduced by about 2,000 yuan ($297) per container, and logistics times have been shortened by three to five days.
