ApexCross Craft Toy Smart Factory, a foreign-funded enterprise located in Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ), recently began production. Focusing on independent design and processing, the factory's wood-carved toys are already popular in international markets, including North America, Japan, and South Korea.
Once operating at full capacity, the factory's annual orders are expected to surpass 46 million sets, generating an annual domestic customs clearance output value of up to 4 billion yuan ($588.81 million).
Inside the smart manufacturing facility, a UV printer and five laser engraving machines work together to create a fully automated assembly line that produces 40 sets of carved wooden puzzle toys per hour.
Following initial equipment testing and process optimization, the first production line is now running smoothly. In the second half of the year, the company will scale up production to deploy 1,000 laser engraving machines while expanding into new markets across Europe and Southeast Asia.
The company chose Guiyang FTZ specifically to utilize the zone's advantages in customs clearance efficiency, multimodal transport, and cargo consolidation. Once all production lines are active, the factory aims to become the largest smart manufacturing plant for wood-carved toys in Southwest China.
