A truck loaded with 27 metric tons of Dushan navel oranges rolled out of Guizhou Wanhui International Trade Co's warehouse in Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) on March 20 and is expected to reach India's Port of Nhava Sheva in approximately 15 days.
The "Wanhui" brand has become synonymous with high quality and competitive pricing across Europe, the United States, the Middle East, Southeast Asia, Japan, and South Korea.
The company's cumulative exports had already exceeded 500 tons by the end of March, with an export value surpassing 10 million yuan ($1.45 million) and total exports for the year projected to exceed 100 million yuan.
To bolster rural vitalization, the company is launching pilot vegetable production bases in Anshun city, Liuzhi special district, Xiuwen county, and Wudang district, with plans to establish over 500,000 mu (33,330 hectares) of contract farming bases across the province.
Construction also began this month on the Wanhui Qiansui Food Processing Industrial Park at Guiyang FTZ, which covers 200 mu and integrates warehousing, processing, and trading. Once complete, the facility will have a daily processing capacity of 3,000 tons and a staggering storage capacity of 650,000 tons.
Since Wanhui's arrival, Guiyang FTZ authorities and Zhucheng Customs have provided support in customs clearance facilitation, quality control, qualification registration, and integrated foreign trade services, helping Guizhou's premium agricultural products go global.
