Guizhou's second China-Europe freight train of the year departed from Guiyang International Land Port in Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) on March 18, carrying Guizhou-made vehicles and auto parts destined for Belarus.
This shipment comprises 55 containers, with a total value exceeding 28 million yuan ($4.06 million). The route spans 11,650 kilometers, exiting through the Alashankou Port, and is expected to reach Minsk in 15 days.
Since the beginning of the year, Guiyang FTZ, Zhucheng Customs, Guiyang International Land Port, Guiyang Railway Logistics Center of China Railway Chengdu Group, and Guiyang Logistics Company have collaborated to streamline operations and reduce clearance times.
As a vital logistics corridor connecting Guizhou to Europe, the steady operation of the China-Europe freight train has overcome Guizhou's geographic disadvantage as an inland province without coastal or border access.
Compared to traditional sea or road-sea intermodal transport, this rail corridor reduces transportation time by approximately 10 days, offers high efficiency, stability, and lower costs, and saves Guizhou's foreign trade enterprises over 10 million yuan in logistics costs annually.
