As a major State-owned foreign trade enterprise in Guiyang, Guiyang Foreign Trade Development Co relocated to Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) in 2023. This move aims to further strengthen the region's opening-up platforms.

By utilizing the policies and logistical advantages of Guiyang FTZ, the company has rapidly optimized its supply chain. Its business operations now span over 10 countries and regions, including Brazil, South Africa, and Southeast Asia, and its product portfolio covers agricultural goods, energy and chemicals, minerals, non-ferrous metals, and electronics.

Since its relocation, the company has achieved a cumulative international trade volume of 3.44 billion yuan ($498.51 million) and established stable partnerships with over 10 banks and numerous local industrial enterprises.

The company continues to advance its "Guizhou products going global" strategy, focusing on signature local industries such as Chinese bajiu, tea, chili products, and chestnut rose juice. It offers enterprises integrated, end-to-end services — from international certification and bonded warehousing to brand marketing and online operations.

To further this goal, the company is accelerating the establishment of overseas warehouses in Uzbekistan, Vietnam, and Thailand. This creates a "domestic bonded warehouse + overseas warehouse" dual-layer network, supported by dedicated "Guizhou sections" on major global cross-border e-commerce platforms.

In partnership with China COSCO Shipping Corporation and Guizhou Railway Investment Group Co, it uses Guiyang FTZ as a hub to build a "road-rail-sea" multimodal transport corridor. This connects to major South China ports and extends into Southeast Asia, reducing the time and distance for inland goods to reach the sea.
