In 2025, Guiyang Customs prioritized cultivating authorized economic operator (AEO) enterprises as a key strategy to enhance the port business environment and support the development of a new economic framework. These efforts led to significant breakthroughs in AEO certification, boosting high-quality development of foreign trade in Southwest China's Guizhou province.
To achieve this, Guiyang Customs created a dedicated certification cultivation database and formed expert teams, including certification specialists and business leaders, to engage directly with enterprises.
Throughout the year, these teams provided one-on-one guidance to 17 key enterprises in areas such as internal controls, trade security, financial health, and regulatory compliance. This support helped businesses align with certification standards, systematically address gaps, and significantly improve their compliance management and international trade capabilities.
Building on its comprehensive promotion of AEO cultivation, Guiyang Customs also focused on fostering balanced regional trade development. By encouraging cities and prefectures to utilize their unique strengths, it facilitated targeted breakthroughs across the province.
In 2025, three new enterprises in Guizhou obtained AEO certification. Notably, enterprises in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone, Zunyi city, and Liupanshui city received certification for the first time, marking a multi-point breakthrough and fostering a collaborative progress landscape.
Looking ahead to 2026, Guiyang Customs plans to further refine its support mechanisms by emphasizing county-level economic development and expanding the scope of certification. By strengthening collaboration with local governments and industry associations, it aims to guide more foreign trade enterprises toward obtaining certification.
