Since the start of this year, Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) has utilized policy opportunities, including China's used vehicle export initiative, large-scale equipment renewal, and consumption upgrade programs. This has driven the construction of China (Guiyang) Used Vehicle Export Base, while exploring innovative pathways for the used car industry through diversified measures.
At the 4th China-Africa Economic and Trade Expo, the China (Guiyang) Used Vehicle Export Base and Guiyang Silk Road Auto Technology Co organized the China (Guiyang)-Africa Used Vehicle Industry Supply and Demand Matching Conference. The event attracted over 40 African representatives and welcomed 15 African guests to Guiyang.
Meanwhile, Guiyang FTZ actively participated in the China Automobile Circulation Industry Conference, Guiyang New Energy Industry Matching Exchange Activity, and multiple international exhibitions. These engagements showcased Guizhou's automobile industry strengths and fostered global market connections.
Guiyang FTZ also facilitated the establishment of the International Trade Branch of the Guizhou Automobile Circulation Association, providing professional services such as policy interpretation and tariff optimization. Additionally, it organized Guiyang Used Vehicle Export Policy Training Sessions to support policy implementation and standardize industry development.
This year, nine overseas operational centers have been launched in countries like Almaty, Kazakhstan, and Minsk, Belarus, offering comprehensive services including warehousing, sales, and after-sales maintenance.
The Almaty warehouse project has been approved for investment filing and is now operational. A new logistics model enables Guiyang's used vehicles to be directly transported to this warehouse, cutting transportation time by nearly two-thirds and enhancing local service systems in Central Asia and Eastern Europe.
Since its inception, China (Guiyang) Used Vehicle Export Base has exported over 3,400 vehicles, with a total export value exceeding 470 million yuan ($67.25 million). Looking ahead, Guiyang FTZ will continue to support enterprises in going global and optimizing the industrial service system.
