A delegation of 20 people from the "Technical Seminar on Upgrading and Renovation of Existing Railways in Botswana," sponsored by the Ministry of Commerce and organized by Beijing Jiaotong University, visited the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) for study and inspection on Nov 19.

The group first visited the Guizhou Premium Selection Global Product Selection and Development Center. By learning in detail about Guizhou specialty products such as Zheng'an guitars, Miao ethnic embroidery, and Maotai-flavor baijiu, they developed an interest in Guizhou's unique goods and the international trade routes that help these products reach global markets.

The delegation also went to the Guiyang International Land Port, where they engaged in in-depth discussions on railway construction after receiving a detailed introduction. The inspection group expressed that they will learn from the successful experience gained in the construction of the port, combine the advanced concepts with the realities of their own country, and contribute to building a safer, more efficient, and sustainable railway system in Botswana.

This visit strengthened Guiyang FTZ's relationships with African countries, laying a solid foundation for further enhancing exchanges and cooperation with developing countries in Africa.
