The Guizhou International Consolidation and Distribution Center in Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ), Southwest China's Guizhou province, began operation on Sept 28.

As of Oct 10, 17 companies had used the center to consolidate and distribute goods for export, with a value exceeding 37 million yuan ($5.2 million).

The center is an important platform for Guizhou to become an important international freight hub in Southwest China. After its operation, it solved the needs of enterprises for "small batch, multi-batch" cargo consolidation for overseas export.

To support the development of the center and foreign trade-related enterprises, Guiyang FTZ, Zhucheng Customs, and Guiyang International Land Port jointly launched six measures to improve customs clearance efficiency.

Since the center was put into operation, it has attracted 17 companies to participate in consolidation and distribution, gathering more than 20 types of goods, including used cars, baijiu, rubber, fresh vegetables, and department stores, which will realize an export value of more than 17 million yuan.
