The first "single-bill" multimodal train, carrying 4,320 metric tons of fertilizer, departed from Dulaying Station of Guiyang International Land Port, bound for Huanghua Port in North China's Hebei province on Aug 19. This marked the official launch of the "single-bill" multimodal transport service in Southwest China's Guizhou province.

The "single-bill" transport model operates on a "one-time entrustment, end-to-end single bill, and one-time settlement" basis, effectively reducing logistics costs. This allows enterprises to purchase a single electronic transport document that covers the entire transport, removing the need to separately purchase tickets for intermediate transport segments such as rail or shipping.

Compared to traditional multimodal transport, this new service streamlines the process by eliminating the hassle of coordinating with separate rail, water, and road logistics providers. It also addresses issues such as cumbersome procedures, inconvenient cargo tracking, and prolonged transport times.

In promoting the "single-bill" system in Guizhou, China Railway Chengdu Group Co collaborated with Guizhou Railway Investment Group Co and Dalian Trawind Shipping Logistics, among others, to enhance data sharing, optimize logistics resource allocation, and achieve more efficient joint transport services.
