Guiyang Metro Line 3 has introduced an electronic invoicing system across its network, ushering in a new era of paperless ticketing.

Passengers can now generate legally valid value added tax (VAT) electronic invoices with a single click via in-station smart terminals, the "Yi Ying Qian Xing" app, or the official WeChat account. These e-invoices hold the same legal status as paper ones and are eligible for corporate reimbursement and tax deductions.

Line 3 offers tailored invoicing options to accommodate different ticket types. Passengers using single-trip or facial recognition single-trip tickets can scan a code at self-service terminals before exiting the station to obtain an invoice. Users of facial recognition tickets, QR codes, and stored-value cards can complete the entire "ride-to-invoice" process online via the "Yi Ying Qian Xing" app. The system also supports consolidating multiple trips into a single invoice and automatically generating travel records, streamlining corporate expense management.

An e-invoicing feature has also been integrated into the Alipay mini-program, further expanding accessibility. To assist elderly passengers and other special groups, all Line 3 stations have designated staff members providing one-on-one guidance, ensuring inclusive service.

Line 3 plans to integrate with tax and financial systems to enable automated invoice collection while strengthening anti-counterfeiting measures and exception handling. These improvements aim to deliver a safer, smarter, and more convenient travel experience.
