TransNusa Airlines flight 8B813 completed its inaugural flight, with over 100 passengers arriving at Soekarno-Hatta International Airport in Jakarta on Dec 15. This marked the launch of the direct flight route between Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, and Jakarta, capital of Indonesia.

The new route greatly reduces the travel time between the two cities and plays a key role in boosting tourism exchanges, economic and trade cooperation, and cultural ties between Guiyang and Jakarta.

The flight, operated by TransNusa Airlines using an Airbus A320, runs every Sunday. Initially, there is one flight per week, with the potential for additional services based on market demand.

Jakarta, Southeast Asia's largest city, is Indonesia's political and economic hub. With this new route, Jakarta now enjoys direct connectivity with Southwest China's three provinces. Travelers from Guiyang can also easily connect to popular Indonesian destinations, including Bali, Surabaya, Manado, Komodo Island, and Yogyakarta.

Launching this direct flight route boosts the tourism industry in both regions and provides Guizhou's travelers with more diverse and convenient travel options.
