The National Immigration Administration announced on Dec 17 that, starting immediately, 21 new ports of entry and exit, including Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport in Guiyang, capital city of Southwest China's Guizhou province, are added to the list of entry points for visa-free transit travelers.

The stay duration for foreign nationals eligible for visa-free transit has also been extended from 72 hours and 144 hours to 240 hours (10 days).

This fully relaxed and optimized 240-hour visa-free transit policy significantly expands the range of activities allowed, adding five new provinces: Guizhou, Shanxi, Anhui, Jiangxi, and Hainan. Notably, transit travelers can now access the entire provinces of Guizhou, Anhui, and Hainan.

Implementing this new policy brings fresh development opportunities to Guiyang's tourism industry. As the capital city of Guizhou, Guiyang boasts abundant tourism resources and a unique cultural appeal.

Eligible visa-free transit passengers can enter through Guiyang Longdongbao International Airport, giving them more time to explore Guiyang and the surrounding areas and experience the local customs, culture, and cuisine.
