Guiyang's imports and exports valued at 40.89b yuan in first 10 months

According to Guiyang Customs, in the first 10 months of this year, the total value of Guizhou province's imports and exports reached 53.29 billion yuan, a year-on-year increase of 4.7 percent, and 4.7 percentage points higher than the national average growth rate.

Of which, exports stood at 34.7 billion yuan, up 10.6 percent compared to the same period of last year, while imports were valued at 18.59 billion yuan, down 4.8 percent year-on-year.

Data showed that the scale of foreign trade in Guiyang, the provincial capital, reached 40.89 billion yuan, an increase of 6.5 percent year-on-year and accounting for 76.7 percent of the province's total imports and exports.

The import and export growth rates in Qianxinan Bouyei and Miao autonomous prefecture, Anshun city, and Qiandongnan Miao and Dong autonomous prefecture took the lead in the province, with growth rates of 64.6 percent, 37.3 percent and 21.5 percent year-on-year, respectively.

The province's general trade imports and exports hit 36.12 billion yuan, an increase of 6.9 percent year-on-year, accounting for 98 percent of total foreign trade growth.

Processing trade imports and exports came in at 12.79 billion yuan, an increase of 16.2 percent year-on-year, while bonded logistics imports and exports reached 3.97 billion yuan, a decline of 30.9 percent year-on-year.

Meanwhile, private enterprises in Guizhou province continued to show robust growth in foreign trade, with total imports and exports reaching 33.93 billion yuan, a significant increase of 16.5 percent over the previous year.

State-owned enterprises experienced a 12 percent decrease in imports and exports, amounting to 16.95 billion yuan, while foreign-invested enterprises witnessed a 4.4 percent decrease year-on-year, totaling 2.4 billion yuan.

In addition, Guizhou province saw growth in trade with Hong Kong, the United States, and India.

Trade with Hong Kong totaled 7.84 billion yuan, a growth rate of 28.4 percent year-on-year, while trade with the United States amounted to 2.83 billion yuan, representing a year-on-year growth rate of 1.4 percent. Trade with India reached 2.54 billion yuan, a significant jump of 35.6 percent year-on-year.

Conversely, Guizhou's trade with ASEAN countries decreased by 7.1 percent compared with the same period of last year, with imports and exports totaling 10.15 billion yuan. The province's trade with Taiwan dropped by 7.7 percent year-on-year, amounting to 3.51 billion yuan. Trade with the European Union also declined, with imports and exports reaching 3.5 billion yuan, a decrease of 4.8 percent year-on-year.
