A delegation from the Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) visited Shenzhen in South China's Guangdong province to attract investment on Nov 1 and 2.
During the visit, the delegation visited several companies in Shenzhen that are engaged in server processing trade and the research and development of medical equipment and purifiers.
They learned about the research capabilities, production technologies, business development, and domestic and international markets of these companies.
Yao Feiyang, director of the Guiyang FTZ Administrative Committee, introduced the zone's development, industries, supporting facilities, and guarantee of resources and facilities to the companies during the visit.
He also explained preferential policies concerning various funding pools, funds, and supply chain financial services that support the development of businesses. Yao learned about the investment intentions and policy demands of the companies, and assigned officers to facilitate further communication and welcome the companies to visit Guiyang FTZ.
Additionally, the delegation visited relevant business associations and enterprise operation service companies to provide them with detailed information about the specific measures taken by the Guiyang FTZ to enhance its service capabilities, improve customs efficiency, and optimize its business environment.
During the visit, Yao emphasized that investment promotion departments should capitalize on the abundant resources, low factor costs, and immense market potential of western China.
He said they should attract industries that are shifting westward from eastern China, focus on enterprises that have substantial downstream resources and product orders, and attract more companies that can contribute to a healthy industrial ecosystem in the Guiyang FTZ.
