The government affairs service hall in the Guiyang Free Trade Zone – located in the city of Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is making every effort to resume a whole host of services for businesses and the general public amid the COVID-19 outbreak.

One example is the Zhucheng customs office in the zone. In order to reduce the pandemic's impact on its services, it is guiding companies to print certificates of origin on their own. It is also issuing certificates of origin in advance, so that companies of good standing can submit formal application documentation after the pandemic eases.

Elsewhere, the service hotline for the Guiyang FTZ's tax bureau is open 24/7 for taxpayers to consult it. The bureau also helps taxpayers to use its online taxation system and apply for digital invoices, and it offers a remote tax information copying service for companies.

During the pandemic, the zone's market supervision bureau has further simplified its procedures and communicated with applicants online, to ensure that companies and individuals can apply from their premises.

In addition, relying on Guizhou's government affairs service platform, the Guiyang FTZ and Guiyang Customs office have started to issue electronic port IC cards. The application can be down in less than one hour online.
