The taxation bureau of the Guiyang Free Trade Zone in Guiyang – capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently signed an agreement with the school of big data applications and economics at the Guizhou University of Finance and Economics.

The undertaking will allow both sides to establish a practice base for students in taxation. Both sides will complement each other's excellence in the studies of taxation theory. They will join hands in the study of international taxation, imports and exports and tax collection and management.

They will also share resources, according to Yang Yang, dean of the school of big data applications and economics.

Yan Shi, head of the taxation bureau of Guiyang FTZ, said at the signing that he hoped that through their cooperation, both sides would communicate on big data theory research and the practice of tax collection and management.

Moving forwards, both parties plan to extend their efforts in tax research and in other areas – building a learning and practice framework and offering employment and entrepreneurship guidance.

With the university's talent resources and its achievements in theoretical research – coupled with the bureau's extensive experience in tax collection – expectations are that both sides will mutually gain beneficial results.
