The Guiyang Free Trade Zone, or Guiyang FTZ – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently released an action plan to boost the talent service in the period 2022-25.
Under the plan, the Guiyang FTZ will improve its dedicated HR team, policies, platforms and talent services to recruit and train more young sci-tech people, in particular.
By 2025, Guiyang FTZ is expected to reserve 10,000 talents, including 500 high-level people that are in short supply, 580 company management staff members, 1,300 professional technical personnel and 2,000 skilled talent.
Guiyang FTZ will also attract at least 15 municipal staff members and 10 high-level innovation and entrepreneurship teams – and increase recruiting in the areas of advanced equipment manufacturing, big data electronics information manufacturing and basic materials.
In the future, plans are for the Guiyang FTZ to stage or attend at least eight talent attraction events, provide at least 3,000 job positions and attract at least 1,000 new hires per year. The zone also aims to apply to have one national key lab or technology innovation center, three provincial talent bases or technology innovation centers and 12 municipal talent platforms by 2025.
By 2025, it is expected that the Guiyang FTZ will have cultivated at least 20 high-tech companies – and cooperate regularly with local universities to establish training centers, according to the needs of personnel.
By inviting human resources experts and specialists, it is felt that the Guiyang FTZ will improve the quality of its HR services, provide policy consultations, organize talent exchange activities and build attractive government-subsidized houses for new staff members.
