According to the latest statistics released by the General Administration of Customs, the Guiyang Free Trade Zone or Guiyang FTZ – located in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – generated $881 million worth of imports and exports last year, a hefty surge of 96.7 percent year-on-year.
In 2021, imports at the Guiyang FTZ came in at $384 million, leaping 126.4 percent year-on-year, while the value of exports totaled $497 million, up 78.6 percent year-on-year.
The Guiyang FTZ ranked 99th among China's 148 free trade zones and ranked first among Guizhou's three free trade zones in 2021. It accounted for 49.53 percent of the total value of imports and exports of Guizhou's three free trade zones.
