Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, has been committed to new industrialization since the start of this year.
During the first 11 months of this year, Guiyang FTZ invested 1.65 billion yuan ($258.4 million) in industrial projects and achieved 196.57 million yuan in industrial added value, an increase of 71 percent year-on-year.
To support industrial development, Guiyang FTZ has so far added 3,000 mu (200 hectares) of centralized lands for industrial use, made plans to create integrated development areas with neighboring Baiyun district, established a talent pool of 5,591 people, and made plans to construct 205,000 square meters of standard factories this year.
Guiyang FTZ has accelerated the construction and operation of newly signed projects. So far this year, the zone has introduced 18 industrial projects and spent 3.43 billion yuan in investment.
The zone has also made plans to develop electronic information manufacturing, advanced equipment manufacturing, and imported grain, oil and food processing.
It will construct 1,000 mu of electronic information manufacturing industrial parks, 1,000 mu of advanced equipment manufacturing and new material industrial parks, 500 mu of imported grain, oil and food processing industrial parks, and one national improvement trade industrial park.
This year, the zone has established an industrial park service center to provide convenient services for companies in project settlement, fire control, factory maintenance and government affairs services.
