Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province, organized 32 companies to attend a job fair held at Guizhou University on Dec 16.
The companies offered 106 positions for 279 college and university graduates. The average monthly pay on offer was around 7,000 yuan ($1,098.69) and the highest monthly pay was 16,000 yuan.
A total of 1,187 students attended the event, 310 reached preliminary employment agreements, and 33 signed labor contracts.
In recent years, Guiyang FTZ has provided job information platforms for both graduates and companies, offering jobs involving electronic information, advanced equipment manufacturing, imported grain processing, international trade and modern logistics.
The zone hopes to encourage more graduates to find jobs in Guiyang, which is known for its pleasant living environment and good public services, and contribute to Guiyang and Guian's high-quality development.
