The Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ), located in Southwest China's Guizhou province, received a delegation from logistics and supply group Guangdong Top Ideal Supply Chain Technology Group on Oct 13, to discuss plans the company has for a venture in the zone.

The company provides logistics services including e-commerce logistics, supply chain financing and warehousing services, enabling clients to improve the efficiency of their supply chain operations and reduce costs.

The trip was made to clear the path to establishing an online digital services trade platform – to be administered by the group and operated from the zone – for a new premium products distribution center in the Guiyang FTZ.

Top Ideal, which is based in the city of Guangzhou in South China's Guangdong province, has been engaged in foreign trade for 23 years and currently has 66 subsidiaries distributed worldwide.

In 2020, Top Ideal's cross-border e-commerce trade volume topped 8 billion yuan ($1.25 billion), accounting for 8 percent of the country's total cross-border e-commerce retail imports.

The group's vice president Li Hui talked about the group's ambition to become a digital cross-border industrial service provider during the visit.

Yao Feiyang, director of the administrative committee of the Guiyang FTZ, said the zone was currently working hard to be a bridgehead for high-quality development in Guiyang and a new engine for the city's export-oriented economic development.

Yao said Top Ideal could support the zone in cross-border e-commerce, the services trade and in foreign trade – and in return, the zone would go all out to help it grow its business.

Top Ideal executive Li Hui said the group believed in Guizhou's future. Li said it would fully leverage its competitive advantages in industry, technology, trade and cross-border e-commerce to achieve a mutually beneficial outcome and contribute to the high-quality development of Guizhou.
