The Guiyang Free Trade Zone (Guiyang FTZ) – in Guiyang, capital of Southwest China's Guizhou province – is moving to develop as the region's most high-profile national industrial park and as a window for its opening-up to the outside world.

Relying on its technology and top-level workforce, the zone plans to adopt 19 measures to attract more investment, promote the construction of key projects and optimize its local business environment.

According to Yao Feiyang, secretary of the Guiyang FTZ Party work committee, the total value of the zone's foreign trade is expected to reach $3.6 billion in 2025.

In addition, the international logistics volume will reach 8 million metric tons, while the imported grain and oil processing industry will handle 1.5 million tons – with the output value reaching 4.5 billion yuan ($6.92 billion).

Also, the output value of the advanced equipment manufacturing industry is seen at 2.5 billion yuan.

With its potential to become a leading hub for new industrialization, the zone will reportedly also seek to gain real benefits from its high-quality development in the future.
