Guiyang Free Trade Zone (FTZ) – in Southwest China's Guizhou province – recently established a platform for opening-up with another free trade zone, according to Guiyang FTZ officials.

They said it reached cooperation with the Guian New Area FTZ to jointly accelerate the establishment of platform for opening-up as policies for integrated development of both are launched.

Officials said the cross-border e-commerce supervised warehouse in Guiyang FTZ has provided services including warehousing, sorting, customs clearances and logistics for more than 10 enterprises. Since the resumption of work on Feb 10, the warehouse sent out 2,648 orders valued 1.5 million yuan ($0.21 million).

Wang Jing, general manager of Guizhou Hanbang International Holding Co – one of the investors of the warehouse -- said that enterprises engaged in cross-border e-commerce in the two sides can share resources.

Guizhou Youzhiyuan International Trade Co has opened 10 offline experience stores and an online cross-border e-commerce mall since it settled in the Guiyang FTZ in 2016, with more than 500 brands and an annual turnover of 20 million yuan.

The company's operations director, Luo Weiyang, said that the integrated development of Guiyang and Guian had already brought new market opportunities to the two free trade zones.

Officials said that the two free trade zones would cooperate in seven aspects – including industrial positioning, planning and layout, to achieve better resource allocation and regional development.

Luan Yan, secretary of the Party Working Committee of the Guiyang FTZ, said that more related policies should be learned, to further promote the economic and social development of Guiyang and Guian.
