Government officials in Guiyang Free Trade Zone and Guiyang city have attached great importance to a project by the Dow Chemical Company, according to Huang Jun, deputy director of the FTZ's management committee.

The official voiced his view after he made an onsite inspection of the US multinational company's water-borne fabricated environmental material manufacturing base Dec 17.

During the meeting, company representatives explained the construction base, saying that, with  two invention patents and five new practical patents, the company's water-borne fabricated rubber runway was making breakthrough in Guizhou's manufacturing sector.

It is expected that the company will finish its first production line by the end of December and all of its three lines by June.

During the visit, Huang learned about the project's progress, put forward requirements on safe production and progress, and made onsite decisions on factory support facilities and customs supervision.

He also urged the FTZ's relevant government organs to provide considerate services to the project, including support for industrial development, guidance on customs and tax, safe production, and more attention to talents, science research and development and protection of intellectual property rights.
